Joe O’Hehir brings a strong background in nonprofit management. He is currently the Executive Director for the Marin Senior Coordinating Council, informally known as The Whistlestop. He is skilled in strategic planning, organizational development, and financial management. He particularly enjoys helping organizations achieve excellence.
Joe sought a seat on the Governing Board after he had direct experience with the difficulties people with disabilities experience and the forceful impact placed on their families. He became acutely aware of how import it is for these individuals to live at home with independence, dignity and respect.
Since he joined the Governing Board, he has been struck with the passion and enthusiasm of the other board members and the staff. He believes they are all extremely committed to helping others survive and thrive in their families and in their community.
Joe’s numerous community activities include having been the President of the Board of Directors at Senior Access, an adult day program serving seniors and adults with chronic health care needs.
