IHSS Individual Provider Orientation Meeting and Fingerprinting Mandate
Effective Immediately! All IHSS Providers are required to complete new requirements mandated by the State of California in order to work and be paid as an IHSS Provider.
1. Complete and sign Provider Enrollment Form (SOC 426) AND present a valid California Driver’s License OR California State ID AND your original Social Security Card for photocopying.
2. Undergo a Criminal Background Check by the California Department of Justice (DOJ). (Registry providers are exempt if DOJ Background check is already on file.)
3. Attend a provider orientation about the State rules, regulations and requirements for being an IHSS provider.
4. Sign a Provider Agreement (SOC 846) stating that you understand and agree to the rules of the program and responsibilities of being a provider.
PLEASE NOTE:
Any provider that has not completed the above listed requirements will no longer get paid by the State!!!
